Drop Off / Pick Up Procedure Fall 2026 (Temporary)

Drop Off Procedures

As construction continues in the church and Masses are temporarily being held in the Parish Center, we anticipate increased traffic congestion on Sepulveda during the morning  a.m. hour. To help ensure a safe, orderly, and efficient arrival for all students and families, we will be adjusting our morning drop-off procedures for the first couple of months of the school year.

Beginning on the first day of the Fall 2026 school year, the following procedures will be in place:

• All elementary and middle school morning traffic must enter from Santa Cruz Street, traveling west to east.
• Vehicles will make a left turn into the Main Yard entrance, rather than following the usual route around Sepulveda and Hanford.
• A Black Knight Patrol officer will be stationed at the lower Main Yard gate each morning to direct traffic and assist with safety.
• After drop-off, vehicles will exit through the top gate as usual and proceed west on Santa Cruz Street.
• Preschool and kindergarten drop-off procedures will remain unchanged.
• A second Black Knight Patrol officer will be stationed near the preschool and kindergarten alley entrance to assist with traffic flow and monitor the safety of children and families.
• Afternoon pick-up procedures will remain unchanged. Families should continue to approach using the normal Sepulveda and Hanford route.
• The Walker Yard will no longer be used for student drop-off or pick-up. It will serve as employee parking until construction is complete.

Please refer to the diagram below for a clear illustration of the temporary morning traffic pattern.
If your schedule permits, we also encourage families to park and walk students in through the top entrance. With no church traffic at that location and the outdoor landing open, this is a helpful way to reduce vehicle congestion during arrival.
We understand that changes to routines can take time to adjust to, and we greatly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we work together to keep arrival safe and smooth for our students. Thank you for your continued support of Holy Trinity School.
